ScryMUD 2.1.9 (stable) has been officially released. You can obtain it through
one of the following methods:
Tar/gz: http://scrymud.net/ScryMUD/downloads/ScryMUD-2.1.9.tar.gz
Tar/bz2: http://scrymud.net/ScryMUD/downloads/ScryMUD-2.1.9.tar.bz2
Subversion: svn export http://www.wanfear.com/svn/ScryMUD/tags/release-2-1-9
Changelog: http://scrymud.net/ScryMUD/scry_release_notes.html
Changes include both features and bugfixes. There should be a freshmeat.net
announcement sometime in the near future.
Information for players:
The production ScryMUD server: telnet://scrymud.net:4444 has been running on
this release for the past couple weeks or so. It's not anymore. =)
We have moved to the development "trunk". This new line of development offers
us a great deal more flexibility as developers than we have had in the past.
Among many exciting (at least for us) features are auto-mapping,
format-version information in Pfiles and World DB files. These new features
provide us with an easier, cleaner upgrade path as coders and builders alike.
We're interested in any feedback you have regarding balance issues,
user interface and general game play.
Thank you for playing ScryMUD and happy hunting.
