Ok, just had a long conversation with Ed, and I think I'm pretty much on board 
with the whole plan. There are a lot of good ideas that can be implemented, 
and a lot already implemented. The pfile wipe was the main problem (since I 
think we all agree Scry could use some form of an overhaul in improvement?), 
and he made it pretty clear his intention wasn't to screw everyone over 
entirely, and it looks like it can be pretty much avoided, settling instead 
with stat clear and skill clear, with maybe some.. reimbursements? of some 
kind for some of the older players who'd be losing a whole lot.   I think I'm 
repeating some stuff already said in previous e-mails, but I can't 
remember.    Either way, just wanted to get that out. 

And Shamu, I think things will actually be happening this time, and keep 
happening. Of course, I think we've gotten to or near that point before, end 
nothing happened, so we have yet to see. But by the sounds and looks of it, 
changes have already been made to the code or CVS or whatever, so that's a 
good start better than other attempts. And more is still being done. Maybe 
give things one more chance to actually be done? I don't think anyone really 
wants you gone.
